| Bacteria
are in our environment constantly. they are in the air that we breathe
and on surfaces that we touch. Some bacteria play an essential role
in promoting health and well-being but there are many other bacteria
that cause disease and infection. Control of these unhealthy bacteria
is becoming of increasing concern particularly in healthcare, food
hygiene and domestic environments. |

Bacteria
are classified into two groups. Gram negative or Gram positive,
dependent upon their response to a purple dye stain. Gram positive
bacteria absorb the dye and produce a positive strain, these bacterai
tend to have a higher resitance to certain antibiotics such as penicillin
due to their more robust cell wall structures.

Interpon
AB is effective against both Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria.
Bacteria adoopt different shapes and these have been used to name
and classify them. |

Interpon
AB has been independently tested against a range of bacteria
and has been found to be effective against them. Interpon AB can
provide an effective secondary support to existing cleaning regimes
in the fight against bacterial contamination.
