Elite Guard
CS Storage provides lockers to many different industries, including lockers for healthcare, food hygiene and lockers for domestic use. Bacteria are in our environment constantly. They are in the air that we breathe and on surfaces that we touch. Some bacteria play an essential role in promoting health and well-being but there are many other bacteria that cause disease and infection. Control of these unhealthy bacteria is becoming of increasing concern and some industries have strict guidelines on reducing the risk of contamination when installing new equipment e.g. cabinets and lockers.
Lockers can attract two types of bacteria. Gram negative or Gram positive, dependent upon their response to a purple dye stain. Gram positive bacteria absorb the dye and produce a positive strain, these bacteria tend to have a higher resistance to certain antibiotics such as penicillin due to their more robust cell wall structures. Lockers must be able to resist these strains wherever possible.
Interpon AB is effective against both Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria.
Bacteria adoopt different shapes and these have been used to name and classify them.
Elite Guard Lockers - Bacteria Tested | %age CFU reduction |
---|---|
Pseudomonas aeruginosa | 99.99 |
Escherichia Coli 0157 | 99.99 |
Staphylococcus aureus (Resistant strain) | 99.99 |
Bacillus subtilis | 99.98 |
Salmonella enteritidis | 99.98 |
Listeria monocytogenes | 99.98 |
Interpon AB has been independently tested against a range of bacteria and has been found to be effective against them. Interpon AB can provide an effective secondary support to existing cleaning regimes in the fight against bacterial contamination for lockers.
